A BRIEF HISTORY

Healthy Adams Bicycle/Pedestrian, Inc. was incorporated as a 501(c)3 in 2005. We worked as a committee of The Physical Fitness Task Force of Healthy Adams County for approximately two years prior to incorporating. Our purpose is to promote health and public recreational opportunities and alternate transportation through safe bicycling and pedestrian activities, both on road and off. Activities include acquiring, developing and maintaining trails and routes. We have formed many partnerships with municipalities and businesses and other organizations in the county, beginning with the Borough of Gettysburg and the Adams County Office of Planning and Development in 2007.
